Phase Converter Using Microcontroller

Abstract

-It is a simple converter for driving a load with a single-phase ac supply. Using only six active switch MOSFET and Microcontroller. The single phase supply is first converted into dc supply by using rectifier again dc supply of rectifier is given to inverter where MOSFET are used and converts the dc supply again into three phase ac supply. The experimental result showed that nearly square waveform produced remained approximately constant with increase in load. We can also control the speed of the motor which is connect as the load by changing the frequency of motor we do not need the different type of speed control of motor as our project itself control the speed of motor. The phase converter is only the device which can easily convert the single phase into three phase, where only single phase is available specially in remote location area. It is also very cheaper compare to the other instrument like rotary converter, Static converter, and Buck bush converter. This type of converter specially hold the benefit for the irrigation purpose in which large amount of water is needed. So larger rating of motor or pump is used which is run at three phase supply so this converter can used for running the motor. Due to that the consumer does not need to pay the extra money for three phase supply.
