Abstract: Kinetics and mechanism of the free-radical polymerization of methyl acrylate (MA), using potassium peroxomonosulfate (PMS) as a water-soluble initiator in the presence of benzyltributylammonium chloride (BTBAC) as a phase-transfer catalyst (PTC), were studied.
