Abstract:The main objective of the study was to investigate the phase transition properties (melting temperature and heat of fusion) and chemical purity of coniferyl alcohol and D-mannose by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The measurements have been performed at different heating rates from 1-20 8C/min under atmospheric inert gas. From the DSC analysis, the onset temperature, peak temperature, and the heat of fusion of both the compounds were measured. They were found to increase with an increase in the heatin… Show more

This work demonstrates the feasibility of applying dual functional solvents called alkanolamines for biomass pretreatment, deconstruction, and conversion into biofuels.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
