Phase-Type Distributions of Animal Trajectories with Random Walks

Abstract: Animal monitoring systems often rely on expensive and challenging GPS-based systems to obtain accurate trajectories. However, an alternative approach is to generate synthetic trajectories that exhibit similar statistical properties to real trajectories.
