“…This syntaxial bend contains north-trending eastern and western flanking belts cored by Siang antiform while the Namche-Barwa Massif forms the northernmost extremity of the Siang antiform. Most of the geological investigations in this region have been focused on the Namche-Barwa Massif and the Siang Antiform (Burg et al, 1998;Burg, Davy, Nievergelt, & Oberli, 1997;Choudhuri, Gururajan, & Bikramaditya, 2009;Ding, Zhong, Yin, Kapp, & Harrison, 2001;Salvi, Mathew, Pande, & Kohn, 2021;Tu et al, 2015;Tu, Ji, Gong, Yan, & Han, 2016) with only a few recent investigations of exhumation histories of the western and eastern flanking belts (Haproff et al, 2020;Kumar, Lal, Singh & Jain, 2007;Pebam, Jain, Kumar, Singh, & Lal, 2008;Salvi et al, 2020;Figure 1b). Thus, the lack of complete knowledge of the exhumation record has inhibited us from hypothesizing a complete evolutionary model of the easternmost sector of the Himalayan-Tibetan Orogenic Belt.…”
