Phenomenon of dual- and single-retention behaviors of solutes and its validation by computational simulation in linear programmed temperature gas chromatography

Abstract: This cover picture depicts explicit recognitions of dual-and single-retention behaviors of solutes caused by initial temperature (T o) and heating rate (r T) in programmed temperature gas chromatography (PTGC). The retention affected by T o follows an exponential isothermal model. When T o becomes negligible and r T solely dominates, the retention explicitly obeys a cubic equation model in the single model region.
