Philanthropic zakat for the disadvantaged: Recipient perspectives from Indonesia

Abstract: Increasingly in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, there is movement to develop philanthropy beyond periodic charity. Mosques distribute seasonal staples and conduct afternoon schools for children.
