Abstract

An English summary of the more detailed Spanish commentary is provided on both CDs; readers should consult the Spanish notes for specific information about instrumentation and for translations of the Quechua song texts. These two CDs, each in its own way, are valuable contributions to our understanding of Peruvian music and are highly recommended.
