“…And as we disturb how sleep is done, we find that the categorical weave of sleep untangles. The articulation of the fulsome dimensions of sleep may be helpful for researchers operationalising sleep in other study designs, such as our own parallel research where we are seeking to develop validated patient reported outcome measures (or PROMs), including one measuring sleep quality amongst people using alcohol and other drugs (Neale and Strang , ). The findings presented here have prompted us to think more critically to ensure that the sleep measure we develop will be broad enough to capture the contradictions inherent in the sleep assemblage.…”

In elaborating traces of prior trauma-Archives of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, 2017; 1: [47][48][49][50][51][52][53][54][55] ta, art psychotherapy is less intrusive than verbal psychotherapy because the injuries of the past are addressed indirectly through the artistic creations, before passing through conscious elaboration and integration. Art psychotherapy promotes the tendencies of imaginary escape, allowing the patient to escape the hospital routine, which is mainly focused on symptoms and physical care [31,32,47].…”

“…From the methodological point of view, a mixed-methods design combining the analysis of the artistic production with the thematic analysis of personal comments showed to be an adequate evaluation option, combining objectivity with subjectivity in an optimal manner [44,45,48] and considering the direct expression of feelings and needs, as well as their symbolic expression.…”

“…As the PROMs are intended to address patients with a variety of neurological conditions, they may be at risk of missing aspects that might be important to patients within the intended population . Omitted aspects that appear potentially important may not in and of themselves be an issue if users have arrived at consensus about what is essential to include . Other information on content validity might have been available from initial research during test development within the test manuals, but the authors understandably chose not to include this because it would not have been subject to peer review.…”
