Abstract:Abstract. Photoacoustic absorption (PA) spectroscopic and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) studies were carried out on 2.5% copper doped sodium-barium borosilicate glasses. It was found that the Jahn-Teller distorted Cu 2+ species was present in a distorted octahedron with elongated z axis with the unpaired electron in d x2-y2 orbital. From the Hamiltonian parameters of EPR, Fermi contact term and dipolar terms were evaluated. By correlation of the PA data and EPR data, orbital reduction factors and bondi… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
