Abstract: Abstract. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a promising treatment modality for a variety of cancers. It utilizes lightabsorbing compounds combined with direct illumination to generate reactive oxygen species in photosensitizer-targeted tumor cells resulting in the final photodamage of tumors.
