“…[14][15][16][17] S-RuM structures are formed by releasing a strained bilayer from a sacrificial layer, resulting in a tubular structure comprised exclusively of the bilayer material. [20,21] The performance of these electrical devices is ultimately limited by the layer's thermal handling capability because they tend to deform and collapse under thermal stress. Some common choices of the dielectric bilayer include SiN x, [13,18] SiO x , [3,4] Al 2 O 3 , [19] ZnO, [3] and TiO 2.…”

“…Although the oblique‐angle deposition method is commonly used to fabricate the sidewall coatings of the edges or gratings, we propose to use this method to fabricate disordered and densely packed nanorods by utilizing self‐shadowing effect of the primarily grown nanoislands. Samples have been fabricated using the thermal evaporator equipment in two steps.…”

“…Titania nanotubes are also of especial interest as future platforms to be used as nanoengines, autono mous entities, which perform a controlled motion in the presence of certain fuels or external stimul [15][16][17][18][19][20]. While the first potential tubular nano and micromo tors were generally moving in the presence of hydro gen peroxide and showed great potentialities as microtransporters [21][22][23][24][25][26][27] and many other sensing and environmental applications [28,29], their usage has been highly restricted by the toxic nature of the hydrogen peroxide fuel.…”
