Photochemical Defluorinative Alkenylation of Trifluoromethyl Alkenes with Organoboronic Acids

Abstract

We have developed a photo‐catalyzed defluorinative two‐component coupling reaction of trifluoromethyl alkenes and organoboronic acids, providing a straightforward and efficient route for the synthesis of functionalized gem‐difluorinated 1,4‐dienes. Both the chemical yields and functional group tolerance are generally good.
