“…Previously, Szeremeta, et al 38 observed a decrease of the photoluminescence intensity upon the addition of metal NPs into a P3HT film. They hypothesized, that the metal (Ag) NPs can act as a recombination boundary for the diffusing excitons.…”

“…Especially, the metal electrode formation with minimal material usage on application-oriented polymers needs to be investigated. Previous studies investigated nanoparticle polymer compounds or cluster deposition methods on polymers. , The deposition of metal clusters on polymer surfaces is nowadays a common method to prepare electrodes, contacts, or multilayer structures. Several studies have investigated the behavior during growth of such composites in the case of selected model systems. As an example, sputter-deposited gold tends to grow in a dense disordered arrangement of spheroidal clusters at the interface of amorphous homopolymer thin films such as polystyrene (PS) and primarily interacts with itself and rather less with the polymer template. , Löhrer et al followed in situ the gold electrode sputter deposition on low-band-gap polymers used in OPVs . In this study, we focus on the cluster formation by self-assembly during metal sputter deposition on application-oriented polymers.…”

“…The identity of all synthesized AgNPs of the reactions using 10, 20 and 40 mg DNA was further analyzed by SEAD-TEM and HR-TEM. The SEAD-TEM patterns of all synthesized AgNPs demonstrated four diffraction rings, which were indexed as [111], [200], [220] and [311] planes ( Figure 4(A-C)), well corresponding to the Bragg's planes of face-centred cubic (fcc) structure of silver [38]. These concentric rings revealed that the synthesized AgNPs were polycrystalline in nature.…”
