Abstract:Electronically mismatched Diels−Alder reaction between two electron-deficient components is synthetically useful and yet underdeveloped under thermal conditions. Herein, a photoinduced formal [4+2] cycloaddition of enone with a variety of electron-deficient dienes is described.
