Abstract:Phototunable photonic structures based on electrochemically etched silicon filled with four photochromic azobenzene-containing compounds, a bent-shaped low-molarmass substance and side-chain polymethacrylates and a copolyacrylate, were prepared, and their photo-optical properties were studied. It was found that irradiation of these composites with polarized blue light results in spectral changes in the photonic band gap (split of the cavity mode) associated with cooperative photo-orientation of azobenzene moie… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
