“…We assume that they could be similar to the states of some stable lead-related compounds. Up to now, the characteristics of four types of alkali-metal lead bromides: Cs 4 PbBr 6 [20], PbBr 2 [21,22], RbPb 2 Br 5 [22] and CsPbBr 3 [22,23], are studied whose absorption has been ascribed to the transitions between the Pb 2+ ion states. We have compared the luminescence characteristics of Pb 2+ centres in CsBr : Pb with those of Cs 4 PbBr 6 , CsPbBr 3 , PbBr 2 , and RbPb 2 Br 5 single crystals (it is impossible to prepare a CsPb 2 Br 5 single crystal due to the incongruent melting) and found that they are really similar (see Table 2).…”
