Abstract:Transition metal dichalcogenide quantum dots (QDs, e.g., MoX 2 , X = S, Se) have drawn tremendous research attention due to their intriguing optoelectronic properties with many potential applications. In the present work, we have synthesized MoX 2 (X = S, Se) QDs through hustle-free hydrothermal techniques, followed by their purification and detailed characterization using various spectroscopic and imaging techniques. Both QDs showed strong blue emission at ∼450 nm through excitation at ∼375 nm with average ex… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
