Abstract:In this study, photonuclear reaction of 127 I has been studied by using bremsstrahlung photons of 18 MeV endpoint energy via a clinical linear accelerator. As a result of this, 127 I(γ,n) 126 I and 127 I(n,γ) 128 I reactions have been observed. The gamma photons emitted by the excited nuclei have been counted with an HPGe detector. The experimental data have been analyzed by using gf3 and ROOT spectrum programs and all the energy transitions have been calculated. The results have been compared with the literat… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
