Photophysical hole burning on dye solutions in the liquid phase with ns‐laserpuises

Abstract: The necessary conditions for observing inhomogeneous bleaching of the electronic absorption bands of organic molecules in solution at room temperature have been investigated by simple rate equation models. For systems with ground state recovery times in the ps‐range, photophysical hole burning (PPHB) can be obtained with the ns‐laserpulses.
