Abstract: Atopic dermatitis (AD) is the most common inflammatory skin disease, affecting 2-10% of adults and 20% of children. 1 It is characterized by intense itching, recurrent eczematous lesions, and a heterogeneous clinical presentation. 2 Multiple factors, including genetic susceptibility, skin barrier defects, and aberrant immune response, drive cutaneous inflammation in AD.
