Abstract:Begomoviruses are globally distributed plant pathogens that significantly limit crop production. These viruses are traditionally described according to phylogeographic distribution and categorized into two groups: begomoviruses from the Africa, Asia, Europe, and Oceania (AAEO) region and begomoviruses from the Americas.
