Abstract:The Miyako toad, Bufo gargarizans miyakonis, is a subspecies endemic to the Miyako Islands of the Ryukyu Archipelago. The distribution of B. g. miyakonis is curious since no toads are found on other islands in the remaining part of the Ryukyu Archipelago.
