Physical and Chemical Properties of Activated Lignocellulose and its Areas of Application

Abstract: In this paper we present the results of a study of the physical and chemical properties of activated lignocellulose obtained in the process of steam explosion treatment of various breeds of wood. It is shown that fibrous material has a high potential for scientific and commercial use: in the field of production of pulp for paper and cardboard production in a more efficient way, to obtain microcrystalline cellulose by hydrolysis, to produce coarse lignocellulosic fibers for the production of construction and in… Show more

“…After, the release of the liquid product decreases sharply until the end of the measurement (5 seconds). According to Mettler et al [14,15] with a longer hold-up time of steam and gases in the pyrolysis chamber, the number of secondary reactions increases, as a result of which the production of gases, coal increases and the yield of liquid thermal decomposition products decreases [16,17] (refer with: Fig. 3).…”

“…The document also noted the unreasonably low share of the use of local fuels (including MSW) in regional energy balances [5][6][7][8]. The set of proposed measures to overcome the current practice includes: encouraging the reduction of the formation of new and utilization of accumulated waste; stimulation of scientific research and support for the development of promising technological solutions aimed at reducing the negative impact on the environment and environmental risks; new technologies for gasification of various raw materials, including biomass, MSW, etc [9][10][11][12][13].…”
