Physical aspects of biophotons

Abstract: By comparing the theoretically expected results of photon emission from a chaotic (thermal) field and those of an ordered (fully coherent) field with the actual experimental data, one finds ample indications for the hypothesis that 'biophotons' originate from a coherent field occurring within living tissues. A direct proof may be seen in the hyperbolic relaxation dynamics of spectral delayed luminescence under ergodic conditions. A possible mechanism has to be founded on Einstein's balance equation and, under … Show more

“…The results suggest that under special conditions two loci separated by significant distances would become "the same space". Living cells and organisms emit photons in the order of 10 6 photons/m 2 ·s [18]. that are phase-locked to theta activity [19].…”

“…The number of molecules in the quantum of H 2 O 2 we injected would be 0.1 cc (10 -4 L) × 3 × 10 -2 (3%) in water (55 M/L) times 6.023 × 10 23 molecules/M or ~10 20 molecules. When the quantum efficiency and the results of photon scatter are accommodated, the numbers of molecules could be ~10 18 . The proportional entanglement would be in the order of 500 s which is within the range of our observations.…”

“…They set up a simple model to describe the emission of coherent light by DNA. [131] Several strong (but largely unfounded) statements are made in this reference. For example, it is written that the phase is completely determined in a coherent state [132, p. 147], whereas in fact the variance of the phase is 1/(2 n ) [22, p. 196],which can be very large for the low intensity of UPE.…”

“…Biophotons are emitted by bacteria [8] and cells [9] and may be a means by which intercellular communications [10] occur rather than just a spurious correlate of biochemical activity. Their power (flux) densities are in the order of 10 −11 to 10…”
