Physical Exercise, Social Integration, and Urban Hukou Acquisition Decision-Making in China's Floating Population

Abstract: This paper uses data from the 2014 and 2016 China Labor Force Survey to investigate the relationship between physical exercise, social integration and urban hukou acquisition decision-making in the floating population. We find that physical exercise and social integration can directly promote the acquisition of urban hukou in floating populations, and physical exercise promotes the acquisition of urban hukou in floating populations by increasing their degree of social integration.
