“…At 8 years, higher ST was associated with increased risk of later IBD (aHR = 1.51; 95%CI = 1.02-2.25) but no relationship with PA. PA had been shown to play a protective role against the risk of IBD in prior studies. 2,3 Although the authors used two large databases, the number of participants who completed the survey dropped significantly at three and 8 years.
