Physical fitness plays a crucial role in the overall performance and success of highly qualified female handball players. Effective training programs that focus on enhancing key physical attributes such as speed, strength, and coordination are essential for maintaining competitive edge. This study highlights the importance of continuous optimization of training methods to ensure that athletes achieve peak physical condition, which is fundamental for excelling in high-level competitions. This study focuses on an in-depth examination of the physical fitness indicators of highly qualified female handball players. The primary attention is given to evaluating the effectiveness of the training process based on specialized pedagogical testing, which includes key physical parameters such as speed-strength and coordination abilities of the athletes. The aim of the study is to determine the physical fitness indicators of highly qualified female handball players. The object of the study is the training process of the women's handball team "Halychanka" (Lviv). The subject of the study is the physical fitness indicators of highly qualified female handball players. Research methods: include analysis, synthesis, and generalization of specialized literature; pedagogical observation; pedagogical testing of physical fitness indicators (running 30 meters with a high start, s; dribbling 30 meters with a high start, s; passing the ball for 1 minute, times; standing long jump, cm; throwing a 1 kg medicine ball with the dominant hand, m); and mathematical-statistical data processing. The pedagogical study involved highly qualified handball players from the main and reserve squads of the "Halychanka" handball club in Lviv, aged 21.3 years. Research results: The study analyzed the physical fitness of highly qualified female handball players. The methods of pedagogical testing showed that there were no statistically significant differences (p > 0.05) between the experimental and control groups in any of the tests, indicating a need for further optimization of training programs to enhance the physical fitness of the athletes. Conclusions: The study confirmed the importance of physical fitness for the effective competitive performance of highly qualified female handball players. The critical importance of improving physical fitness to increase the competitiveness of female handball players at the competitive level was highlighted, underscoring the need for new approaches in sports training.
