“…A summary of such ndings is shown in Table 1, along with their identied bioemulsier compositions. Bacterial trains belonging to genera including Acinetobacter, 12 Aeribacillus, 13 Alcaligenes, 14 Amycolatopsis, 15 Azotobacter, 16 Bacillus, 17 Beijerinckia, 18 Corynebacterium, 19 Enterobacter, 20 Geobacillus, 13 Halomonas, 21 Klebsiella, 22 Myroides, 23 Pedobacter, 24 Propionibacterium, 25 Pseudomonas, 26 Solibacillus, 27 Streptomyces, 28 Variovorax, 29 have been reported to be bioemulsier producers (Table 1). To date, however, no strains belong to the genus of Exiguobacterium have been reported as bioemulsier producers.…”

“…Isolates were inoculated into 50 ml Zobell Marine Broth in 250-ml Erlenmeyer flasks and incubated at 30°C for 72 h. After incubation, 1:1 of the cell-free supernatant of culture broth and paraffin oil were mixed using the homogenizer (REMI RQT 127A) for 3-5 min at 12,000 rpm and the emulsion formed was observed for 72 h. After every 24 h, the emulsification index (%EI) of the 24 h (E 24 , E 48 , and E 72 ) was calculated using the modified formula (Cooper and Goldenberg 1987) reported by Markande et al (2013).…”

“…The bioemulsifier has been previously studied by us (Markande et al 2013). Fifty milliliters of cell-free supernatant of 48 h grown selected isolate was mixed with paraffin oil (1:1) and kept overnight.…”

“…The cultures were centrifuged (8000 × g) for 10 min and cell-free supernatants were checked for the reduction in the surface tension at room temperature. Emulsification index (% EI) of the supernatants was calculated by the method described by Markande et al [27] using the formula…”
