Physics Learning through Active Learning Based Interactive Conceptual Instructions (ALBICI) to Improve Critical Thinking Ability

Abstract: The process of physics learning in MAN (Islamic senior high school) 2 Bandar Lampung which is still teacher-centered causes students to have low critical thinking skills. One learning model that can be used to overcome this problem is the Active Learning Based Interactive Conceptual Instructions (ALBICI) model which is equipped with Predict, Discuss, Explain, Observe, Discuss, Explore, Explain Tasks (PDEODE*E tasks). The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the ALBICI model with PDEODE*E … Show more

“…These skills are important, they enable people to take on the obstacles and changes of the industrial revolution 4.0 (Hafni, R. N., Herman, T., Nurlaelah, E., & Mustikasari, 2020;Ridho, S., Wardani, S., & Saptono, 2021;Ulger, 2018). Critical thinking skills in education make a top priority for achieving predetermined learning objectives (Diani, R., Irwandani, I., Al-Hijrah, A.-H., Yetri, Y., Fujiani, D., Hartati, N. S., & Umam, 2019;Gunawan, G., Harjono, A., Muhesti, 2019;Muhammadiyeva, H., Mahkamova, D., Valiyeva, S., & Tojiboyev, 2020). “…TAI learning model is a learning model that combines cooperative learning with individual learning, the model that provide opportunities for students to solve problems individually before and after discussing with the group, students have the task of correcting the answers of a group of friends and providing assistance to group members experiencing difficulties. According to (Stacey & Garbic, 2006) TAI is a cooperative learning model where students work individually to complete mathematical assignments with curriculum topics using their teaching (Diani et al, 2019). Based on the explanation, the TAI learning model is an alternative to increase the numerical ability of students.…”

“…Integration of the education system can be achieved by preparing infrastructure and other necessary elements to ensure a smooth teaching and learning process, identifying academic and non-academic issues faced by students, selecting and implementing appropriate solutions to these problems, and accommodating the differences in the needs of students based on teachers' ability (Roaini & Ansar, 2019;Sinaga et al, 2017). These needs can be associated with knowledge and infrastructure required for learning, as well as the attitude towards the process, such as the ability to set goals, reorient, review insight, and make students confident and motivated to achieve the goals (Diani et al, 2019;Ramadhani et al, 2019).…”
