Abstract: Review ABSTRACTPeripheral nerve blockade is an effective modality involved in controlling perioperative pain. When compared with patient controlled analgesia, neuraxial analgesia, and other anesthetic methods such as periarticular infiltration, peripheral nerve blocks yield superior pain control and reduce length of hospitalization.
