Physiological responses of Urochloa ruziziensis inoculated with Azospirillum brasilense to severe drought and rehydration conditions

Abstract: This study evaluated the tolerance of U. ruziziensis under severe water stress conditions and its recovery when rehydrated, based in responses of relative leaf water content and gas exchange of the crop. “…Resultados semelhantes ao presente são demonstrados em estudos com deficiência hídrica em plantas forrageiras com aplicação foliar de A. brasilense no perfilhamento, onde as plantas com A. brasilense tiveram fechamento dos seus estômatos com um dia de antecedência em relação ao controle, o que representou ganhos nas trocas gasosas quando o estresse hídrico antigo o nível severo (Bulegon et al, 2017), podendo tal resultado ser explicado a partir da sinalização provida pelo ABA no sistema radicular das plantas.
