Abstract:In the present study crude seed extracts of Persia Americana Mill (Avocado) was prepared using petroleum ether, methanol, ethyl acetate and aqueous solvents. The phytochemical screening of different crude extracts were studied for the presence of alkaloids, carbohydrates, protein, phenols, tannins, saponin, triterpenoids, glycosides, phytosterols, gums and mucilage.
