Abstract:Pontederia cordata, an annual aquatic species with bioremediation properties, was the subject of our study. We collected P. cordata inflorescences and produced an ethanolic extract. Our qualitative evaluation of the phytochemistry revealed several significant phytochemical groups. A UV-Vis spectrophotometer scan was conducted to identify the high-concentration absorption of the main phytochemical groups.
