Abstract: Mayotte is one of the four main islands constituting Comoros Archipelago, with Anjouan, Mohéli and Grande Comore. Among them, it is the closest island to Madagascar. So far, only one species of the mite family Phytoseiidae (Acari: Mesostigmata) had been reported from this island in an early study. Only little information is available of the diversity of Phytoseiidae in French Guiana. So far, only one mite species of the family Phytoseiidae have been actually recorded, Amblydromalus limonicus. We report in this paper the results of a small survey conducted at the end of October / Mid November 2001 in French Guiana, during which 5 species have been newly recorded, one being re-described in this paper.

Faunas of Phytoseiidae of the Mascareignes Archipalago (Réunion, Mauritius and Rodrigues Islands) and of the Comoros Archipelago (Mayotte, Anjouan, Mohéli and Grande Comore Isands) were recently investigated by authors of this paper and results were published in seven already published papers. We described in this eighth paper six species new to science and six unknown males collected during these surveys.

The fauna of Phytoseiidae in Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County, in China is still poorly known. A survey of these mites was conducted in November 10–15, 2021, collecting 32 species, three of which are new to science. The species collected belong to nine genera of all three phytoseiid subfamilies. A checklist of the species collected is provided, including the description of the new species, named Euseius hamiltonii sp. nov., Phytoseius subcapitatus sp. nov. and Typhlodromus ruyuanensis sp. nov.
