Pietra Ollare: Alpine soapstone vessels in Byzantine Corinth

Abstract: Pietra ollare is the Italian nomenclature for a grouping of different lithotypes of basic and ultrabasic metamorphic rocks, related to green schist facies, and used in the production of ollae (Latin for ‘cooking pots’).
