Letters to the EditorThe published literature views the gastrointestinal tract as a target point for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, through the presence of numerous receptors that internalize the virus in the digestive cells (the angiotensin-converting enzyme receptors). 2 The present letter to the editor highlights the possible misleading aspects of the gastrointestinal disease that ultimately proved to be PIMS.
