PIN16 Tuberculosis Treatment Outcomes in Patients With and Without Diabetes Mellitus

Abstract: In-hospital mortality rates were ϳ6% throughout the study, with the highest rates in adults aged Ն65 years (2009: 8.8%). SP was the most common pathogen reported (1,358/1,544 [88%] isolates). The proportion of 7-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV7) serotypes decreased from 46.7% to 20.1%, while the number and proportion of non-PCV7, 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV13) serotype disease increased, led by 19A (nϭ7 [1.3%] to nϭ23 [6.9%]).
