Planet formation and the evolution of the Solar System

Abstract: The Capture Theory gives planet production through a tidal interaction between a condensed star and a diffuse protostar within a dense embedded cluster. Initial extensive and highly eccentric planetary orbits round-off and decay in a circumstellar disk of material captured from the protostar. Collapsing protoplanets leave behind a circumplanetary disk within which satellites form by an accretion process. Many properties of exoplanetsorbits very close to and very far from stars, highly eccentric orbits, planets… Show more

“…Interstellar matter is a combination of gas, dust, and radiation that occupies space between stars in a galaxy. If too much interstellar matter is compressed into a relatively small volume, its gravity will be strong enough to overcome the internal pressure and continue to contract, which will cause what is known as a gravitational collapse [3].…”

“…There is a range of histories and types of planetary systems under which such exchanges could occur. Histories of migrating planets and their roving excreta further tone the clarification of planetary surface properties to be included in the framework of exploration of extra-solar systems [106][107][108].…”
