This chapter introduces the parameters of SIMPLE-G-US, a resource for spatially heterogeneous analysis within gridded economic modeling focused on land, water, and environmental sustainability. The dataset offers key economic and behavioral parameters, including land and water supply elasticities, land conversion possibilities, and substitution elasticities, capturing spatial responses of production systems to economic and environmental drivers. Integration with existing environmental and economic data unlocks avenues for analyzing and predicting land-use change, water resource allocation, and agricultural production under various scenarios. While this chapter concentrates on the US dataset, the methods introduced here can be applied to other regions. Overall, this dataset empowers researchers to tackle fundamental environmental and societal challenges through advanced geospatial understanding and modeling.
