“…Several genomic and metagenomic studies have shown that members of the Patescibacteria "superphylum" showed reduced metabolic capabilities that likely limit their cultivation (Kantor et al, 2013;Rinke et al, 2013). This superphylum is also involved in hydrogen production, sulfur cycling (Wrighton et al, 2012;Kantor et al, 2013), and anaerobic methane oxidation (Peura et al, 2012), and it is responsible for the removal of conventional contaminants from the soil, including HMs and/or antibiotics (Wang et al, 2018;Yang et al, 2019).…”

“…expressing ACC-deaminase increased maize yield under salinity, but also improved NPK nutrition and the K + /Na + ratio [87]. In a recent study, several Bacillus isolates showed high ACC-deaminase activity, siderophore production, and phosphate solubilization, besides extracellular enzymes such as lipase, amylase, and cellulose, among others [88]. The isolates were able to promote the growth of pepper seedlings, alleviating the harmful effects of salinity and inducing the plants to accumulate proline.…”

“…These findings are accordance with the results obtained in the current study, where DPPH and ABTS scavenging activity in chickpea plants were assessed. Even though numerous in-vivo pot experiments studies have already been reported on the ability of endophytic Actinobacteria [ 52 ] or other bacteria [ 53 ] to promote growth in a variety of plants, only a few of these studies also assessed antioxidant potential. Recently, Wang et al [ 54 ], studied the effect of endophytic Streptomyces chartreusis WZS021 on two sugarcane varieties under stress conditions and found that this Actinobacterium improved the stress tolerance of the host plant by regulating antioxidant levels.…”
