“Plant-mediated green synthesis of Ag nanoparticles using Rauvolfia tetraphylla (L.) flower extracts: Characterization, Biological activities and screening of their catalytic activity in formylation reaction”

Abstract: Various plant extracts have currently been used in the bioproduction of nanoparticles with enormous applications. In this study, Rauvol a tetraphylla ower extracts were employed to obtain silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) in bioproduction. The biologically produced nanoparticles were characterized by XRD, FTIR, UV-Vis, BET, SEM, EDXA, and TEM analyses. Phytochemical screening of the Rauvol a tetraphylla ower extracts indicated presence of 9 di erent constituents. Bioreduction of Ag NPs by phytochemicals was reveal… Show more

“…Green synthesis is a good alternative for conventional physical and chemical preparation techniques, which has advantages such as biocompatibility and low production cost. Algae, fungi, plants, and bacteria extensively employed for the preparation of nanoparticles by green synthesis [6][7][8]. Among metallic nanoparticles, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are one of the most important materials that extensively used in various pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.…”
