Plasma catalytic removal of VOCs using cycled storage‐discharge (CSD) mode: Tandem effect of zeolite adsorbents and Au catalysts on complete oxidation of toluene

Abstract: High-silica zeolite adsorbents (ZAs) are employed for plasma catalytic removal of toluene with cycled storage-discharge mode in this work. At 5 min discharge time of the discharge stage in air plasma (20% O 2 in N 2 ), toluene conversion attains 100%, obtaining 22% CO and 26% CO 2 selectivities. After 20 min discharge time, the air plasma gives the selectivities to CO of ~30% and CO 2 of ~60%.
