Abstract:To explain the experimentally observed effect of silver nanoparticles on the fluorescence of organic dyes and the nonradiative intermolecular transfer of electronic excitation energy in multilayer nanostructures, the previously proposed theoretical model of plasmon resonance in spherical nanoparticles of metals was used. The rates of radiative and nonradiative (FRET) processes in film structures with Ag nanoparticles were calculated for fluorescein and rhodamine B molecules, as well as for two-component system… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
