Plasmon bands in X‐ray spectra of polycrystalline beryllium

Abstract

The plasmon bands are observed in the X-ray spectra of polycrystalline Be, using CuKa,, az, radiation for k > k,. The spectra show four peaks a t the long wavelength region of Raman bands, assigned to the 3sp,pv-3spz splitting of the 3ps hybridized band.Nous avons observe des bandes plasmons dans le spectre de rayons-X de Be polycrystaline excite par l'emission de Cu/Ka,, ctz pour des valeurs de k > k,. Le spectre a quatre maxima dans la region des longues longueurs dondes des bandes Raman. Nous avons assign6 ces maxima aux transitions 3sp,py-3sp, de la bande hybride 3ps.
