“…Six studies were included. The main findings were that multiple (≥3) repeated intradermal PRP injections for stretch marks appear to be a safe treatment modality with only initial minor side effects like transient bruising or pain during injection 5,6,13‐15 . The single report describing post‐inflammatory hyperpigmentation was most likely a result of the combination of PRP with laser therapy 16 …”

“…Platelet-rich plasma was also compared to tretinoin cream in 30 patients with SD. 20 For each patient, half of selected SD were treated with either intralesional PRP at 4-week intervals or tretinoin 0.05% cream nightly for 3 months. Of all SD, 60% were striae alba and 40% were striae rubra.…”

“…In a split comparative study of PRP versus carboxytherapy done once a month in 20 patients of SA by Hodeib et al [69] both were found effective; with carboxytherapy being superior to PRP. Gamil et al [70] in a comparative study of PRP versus 0.1% tretinoin cream found it to be more effective than tretinoin for SA. However, this is a recent modality and the results need to be confirmed in larger studies.…”
