W elcome to January 2022 and volume 23 of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine (PCCM). All of our articles are topical and interesting, and it is a privilege to see such good and informed writing. That said, I must draw your attention to only three Editor's Choices articles: temperature management and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) 3-years after cardiac arrest (1); a PCCM Special Article on standardized training for physicians practicing pediatric cardiac critical care medicine (PCCCM) (2); and, the executive summary from the Transfusion and Anemia Expertise Initiative-Control/Avoidance of Bleeding (TAXI-CAB) collaborative reporting their consensus for plasma and platelet transfusion in critically ill children (3). All three of these open reports have additional supporting articles (4-12).
