The COVID-19 Pandemic presented an unprecedented time in education settings (Johnson et al., 2023; Johnson et al., 2024). Instructors were required to immediately become proficient in various technologies, with limited background knowledge (Pryor et al., 2020). During this time, it was difficult for instructors to get all their materials onto a virtual platform and to communicate with all their students. Expecting instructors to focus on diversification and inclusion in their assessment and engagement strategies was a minor issue compared to getting materials and resources posted on online environments (Farrell, 2021). In this chapter, we will discuss one of the most straightforward technology tools for the K-12 and higher education classrooms, a tool requiring only one electronic device, Plickers. These tools not only solved multiple pedagogical dilemmas during the COVID-19 Pandemic but, with the assistance of AI, now provide ground-breaking solutions to inclusion and diversity strategies in the post-pandemic classroom.
