Abstract:Pneumatosis intestinalis is the presence of air within the two layers of the wall of the gastrointestinal tract, specifically in the small and large intestines. This accumulation of gas can cause thicker walls of the intestines in X-ray or CT scans. Superior Mesenteric Artery (SMA) Thrombosis occurs due to the formation of blood clots within the SMA.
