Los menores migrantes no acompañados (MMNA) representan un colectivo que comparte la condición de migrante irregular y de menor, y que se ven expuestos a múltiples estresores que dificultan su integración en el país de acogida. Además, su llegada en oleadas genera una enorme presión en el Sistema de Protección Infantil, que muchas veces se ve obligado a centrarse en la cobertura de las necesidades más básicas, no pudiendo atender otras necesidades igualmente importantes. El objetivo de este trabajo es conocer los niveles de bienestar y de estrés migratorio que sufren los MMNA, así como los factores que inciden en ambas variables. 44 MMNA cumplimentaron el Personal Well- Being Index (PWI) y la Escala Barcelona de Estrés del Inmigrante (BISS). Los resultados indican que los MMNA sufren estrés migratorio, sobre todo estrés intercultural, y que sus niveles de bienestar son inferiores al resto de adolescentes. Los resultados señalan que ambas variables están muy relacionadas, ya que altos niveles de estrés se asocian a una disminución del bienestar. Variables como la situación de la familia, el tiempo de estancia, tener la documentación en regla y la formación se muestran como fundamentales para la mejora del bienestar y la reducción del estrés migratorio. Estos resultados se interpretan y discuten en relación con la investigación previa en este ámbito, y las propuestas de intervención con este colectivo.

Tarkastelemme artikkelissamme yksin Suomeen tulleiden turvapaikanhakijanuorten ja suomalaistaustaisten nuorten kanssa toteutettuja taidetyöpajoja. Artikkelimme tuo nuorisotutkimuksen kentälle lisää tietoa monikulttuuristen kohtaamisten ja osallisuuden rakentumisesta sekä sosiomateriaalisten suhteiden merkityksestä osana näitä. Analyysimme osoittaa, että taidelähtöinen työskentely on yksi keino lisätä yksin tulleiden nuorten itsetuntemusta ja osallisuuden kokemusta uudessa yhteiskunnassa. Artikkelimme metodologinen kontribuutio nostaa esiin kielellisten ja kehollisten kokemusten ja materiaalisuuden dynamiikan. Johtopäätöksenä esitämme, että nuorten monikulttuurisia kohtaamisia tulisi tukea jokapäiväisen arjen ympäristöissä, kuten koulussa ja asumisyksikössä. Edellä mainitun toteutuminen vaatii kuitenkin luotettavien aikuisten läsnäoloa, kaikkia huomioivien sosiomateriaalisten suhteiden mahdollistamista ja usein tunnepitoisten sosiaalisten tilanteiden aktiivista fasilitointia. The article contributes to the field of youth research on the construction of multicultural encounters and inclusion, and the importance of socio-material relations as part of this construction. Our analysis shows that art-based work is one way to increase the self-esteem and sense of inclusion of young people who have come to a new society alone. The methodological contribution of the article highlights the dynamics of linguistic, embodied and material experiences. In conclusion, we argue that young people’s multicultural encounters should be supported in everyday environments, such as schools and housing units. However, this requires the presence of trustworthy adults, the enabling of inclusive socio-material relations, and the active facilitation of often emotionally charged social situations.
